Wednesday, February 19, 2003 ( 2/19/2003 10:16:00 PM ) Jeanne So much for leaving for Argentina...We took a little ride to the Indianapolis airport where we found our flight was delayed enough to make us miss our connection in DC so we turned around and came home. The soonest flight is Sunday and we won't even be able to fly together. This means I will spend around 24 hours entertaining a 3 year old on the ground and in the air. Ugh. I just found out today that a poem of mine was accepted for publication in a very cool webzine www.talesmag.com Chances are it won't be out for a bit, but I was very excited. Now if I just hear something positive back about the poems I submitted to Poet Lore. Since moving here, back to, the midwest I've been in a realy funk life feels very surreal. In an effort to jumpstart myself I've started volunteering at the local Catholic Worker soup kitchen. I worked there for the first time on Monday. The people I worked with were all very nice as were the people who came for lunch and it got me out. I've also started electronically cataloguing the Planned Parenthood library. The goal is to eventually have it all online. Otherwise I'm just here writing and avoiding going to bed. # |
